I think that God created everything and then he created humankind to enjoy life. I think that still now He is trying to take care of us. But he gave us free will and thus, he can not stop us from doing horrible things to one another or to the natural world. What he does constantly is to try to move our hearts to help each other. But he will never force us to do it. What do you think?

The current spiritual climate is very good in terms of God being busily helping his people prosper i think....its a good think to the faithful few...

You believe what you want if it gives you some comfort and strength to face the world and all its woes, I'm happy for you. But there is no definite proof any god exists or ever existed so until someone comes up with some definite proof then as far as I'm concerned there is no god, no heaven, no hell. Though actually yes, there is heaven and hell but it's here on earth - paradise in whatever unspoilt natural world is left and hell just about everywhere else in one form or another; turn the tv on and you'll see it on the news. Always amuses me the way some religious people twist things around to suit them in a vain attempt to bring others round to their way of thinking. Just supposing you were right and a god created everything and everyone, he did a great job then screwed up big time when he gave us free will - but surely he's so powerful he could take that away from us at any point, right? - teach us a lesson, bring us back into line? So why doesn't he? Because he doesn't exist. I've found most athiests are far more caring towards others, have a greater sense of right and wrong (as they don't have a god to seek forgiveness from so know they must live with the results of their actions) and don't constantly judge people based on what they believe or try to change those beliefs.

I think God created us first and foremost to glorify him, and that it is by doing this, by 'loving God with your heart, soul, mind and strength, and loving others as yourself' (Mark 12), is when we will truely discover how amazing the life is that God created for us.
