Though I'm only 33, 60 per cent of my hair has turned grey  is this feedback useful?

Though I'm only 33, 60 per cent of my hair has turned grey.Only women who experience this know how it feels to watch your hair ageing day by day and the hardest thing of it all is that grey hair makes you look so much older.Thank God, there are dyes that can hide this unwelcome sign of advancing age. However, as every man and its dog knows, the chemicals contained by the colours harm the scalp and the roots badly. So in order to save myself from becoming bald, I thought of using a purely natural dye. I browsed the net and found a website called Goodness Direct selling a natural hair colour called Herbatint. I thought twice when I saw the price (twice as much as the normal home kit I usually use, but at last convinced myself that it was worth it.How wrong I was! Though the product boasts a 100 per cent coverage of the grey hair, I found out that it made my grey hair look much more grey...I contacted the seller who said he would send me another product but nothing of this happened. My piece of advice is this one: Keep off Herbatint!...It is nothing but A BIG LIE

the box looks tacky and fake because it is not even a real person on the actualy box the colour looks like a plastic dolls hair so people wouldnt even buy this product no wonder no one has seen it or heard of it because it looks dire although it does give you some information on what the colour is and other factors to improve it you would need to change the actual packaging therefore you would attract a greater crowd with this product making people want to use this product more and enhancing the actual marketing of the product

Response to Herbatint from Gentle Beauty  is this feedback useful?

We were sorry to learn of keyboard1974's disappointment with the Herbatint product and have offered to send her another to try. We would like to clarify that Herbatint is the gentlest hair colourant available and will cover grey hair. However grey hair can prove resistant to colour and our FREEPHONE 0800 594 7706 helpline can offer help and advice on this. Although gentle, we never claim Herbatint is 100% safe to use and always advise that customers do a skin test prior to use. Further Herbatint can be used for more than one application, effectively that is two applications out of one packet. If anyone wishes to enquire further please visit our website www.herbatint.co.uk. From Gentle Beauty - Distributors of Herbatint in the UK.

I hate my grey hair and have tried to dye it many colours to try and hide it. But unfortunately they just show up even more. I have tried home dyes to colour them, had my hair coloured professionally at the hairdressers all to no avail. I have never tried the product named above and do not think i will in the future. I have spent so much money trying to colour the greys away that i am just going to concede defeat and grow grey gracefully. Oh my gosh I have got to write 100 words , well thankyou Keyboard1974 for giving us such a good warning to keep away from this product.

To be quite honest, it was such a palaver putting the stuff on my hair that after one hour I had lost the will to live and just slathered it on. It didnt work as well as say, Belle Colour or Excellence so I certainly wouldnt recommend it. It IS expensive and you could have got it through one of the Tesco Superstores and I go along with keyboard in saying, dont waste your money on this particular product. I must disagree with you though about the dyes being harmful to the hair and roots. This is an urban myth. Manufacturers of hair dyes are very strictly controlled and approved by the Government and they make sure that there are no ingredients in the products that would prove to be harmful or carciogenic-inducing so stop worrying.

How about you give me your greys. I am slowly going grey although it is picking up speed in the last few months but I think I will be nearly 40 before I am at 60% (34 and about 10%). I would actually love to go grey right now so I will take yours! I must say with regards to covering grey hairs that heap of the hair dyes on the market including some of the professional L'Oreal ones will cover the grey hairs for the first 3 washes and then the grey's show through and look like streaks which if you have dyed your hair lighter is ok but if you have dyed it darker isn't good.

Hi there,i send my feelings for you,i don not have grey hair and i don't want to patronise you by saying i feel sorry for you,as i do feel sorry for you but not in a patronising way,if that makes sense, now i am rambling, can u not have short hairstyle that is funky, grey hair looks really good when it is a funky style, without looking at your hairstyle,it is hard to think what it looks like,i am not a hairdresser but i know certain styles can make you look and feel younger.Did you do a patch test on the Herbatint, you can always take them to trading standards and see what they have to say,we have used them in the past and they do help.Anyway, sorry i can't be of more help but,try to change the hairstyle and forget about the grey and enjoy yourself
