Spots

I watched a programme the other day and apparently dairy products can cause acne, so cutting down on those types of products can help. also, avoiding greasy food is a myth apparently and you shouldn't excessivly wash your face as it can remove good oils from your skin which can help to prevent spots. i use a WHICH stick when spots appear, i find thats really good, and my bf has started using a clearasil cream on his real bad spots, which reduces inflamation in apparently 3hrs, doesnt work that quickly but does work well within days. i tend to avoid washing my face with soaps etc and just use water and make up removing pads.

I went to the doctor and he recommended a good anti septic cleanser (I got clean and clear from Johnson's) and I got some anti bacterial meds for my skin.

Dnt get them on my face but when i do get them they are on my back and they are awful!

I fell for the lies that acne only really affects you in your teeanage years. Well i still have them twenty years after the time they should have ceased to have been a problem. In that time i have tried everything with little success. Many of the popular brands do nothing, and the slightly stronger ones just seems to make my skin flake. One good one that can only be bought from chemists, and you have to ask, is pan oxyl 10. It contains peroxide though so you have to be careful not to get it on your clothes and isn't really suitable for sensitive skin. You have to use it warily at first. Another one has a name something like brasilol or something similar, this is meant to replace all your other facial washes and is less harsh than the pan oxyl. One person i know who thought they were spotty went to the doctor's about it and found that they actually had a different type of skin complaint altogether, so it might be worth checking it out. Even if it is acne the doctor might be able to prescribe something more effective than you can buy over the counter.

never pick or squeeze as they spread.put toothpaste on over night to dry out spots

Drink more water and try not to touch your face too much as it transfers dirt etc

But I only get the odd one or two. If it's not working for you then I'd suggest having a word with a pharmacist to see what they'd recommend, otherwise you'll end up spending a fortune trying out every possible product out there.

I never got acne in my youth nor as an adult.
