Scotland are part of the U.K

Scotland are part of the U.K

I watch the TV and often feel that we Scots are treated as non-british or second class on the adverts as well as the programs if it is not in England or English they do not want to know and if by chance Scotland wins something it is hardley mentioned and if England wins something there is never an end to the news

I dont think by scottish people not being as featured as english they are treated as 'second class'.If they were berated or poorly depicted then that would be the case. Also Scotland has a seperate parliament as well as a seperate educational system and their own BBC, to add to this recently in the news I have seen that the Scottish are looking to seperate from england, wales and NI, so why moan about not being featured in British TV programmes? I'm not keen on being part of Europe and would love to seperate from them but I wouldn't go to other member states and moan about the lack of English presence on TV channels there.
I see quite a bit on Sky sports about the scottish division with regards to football and during the six nations I see a lot on the news about Scotland and the matches are featured on TV. I'm sure if Scotland made it to the world cup or rugby world cup final it would be everywhere too.

yeah i agree with you i class the uk as all egland, scotland, wales and northern ireland but the english people down south (london) have got chips on there shoulders and if there is any news in britian other than the london area they totally not interested,i was born on the south coast and moved up to the north east of england when i was only young and i love it up here,i feel the further you live north the more the scottish and us english get on more, especially when you go on holiday abroad, the cockneys and the scottish people tend to distant themselves from each other were we tend to bond,on the subject of news in scotland us english are pretty ignorant and tend to think scotland is another planet!,but me i love the scottish people but sometimes find it hard to understand the broad scottish accent but in the meantime may way prosper to gether as a UNITED KINGDOM .................................................................

Scoland, although a part of the United Kingdom have their own parliament and governing laws that is why people get angry that most of our respresenatives in the House of Commons and many of our senior ministers are scottish. Perhaps a new government at some point will give us back our englishness and elect non-scottish members of parliament to help redress the balance.

I live in Yorkshire, but I class Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland as British. My family are English, my husband was born in England, but he has Scottish ancestry. So I think we should all bond together as the UK, and get rid of the EU. I am not a "European", I'm British. Anyone else agree with me?

although i am not from Scotland nor England, but i have lived in England before, and now i am living in Glasgow and like it very much! at least much more than London..
personally i consider the term UK stands for all four countries.. and i believe in that.. but i think it would be fair to say that the English are just too proud of themselves.. :P haha
my experiences is that Scots here in Glasgow are much friendlier than the Londoners.. and the city is much cleaner as well..
therefore, i would say they are scared of looking bad when compared to us! :P peace
