If you work for a financial institution especially in the city, do you really work long hours like 12 to 14 hours or the papers are exaggerating the stuff.

I work in the finance sector and my hours do sometimes creep up to 12 hours. Currently i am returning to work from being off sick for a long period of time and they are monitoring my hours like crazy, so i cant do over 7 hours. With this though to the amount of work and pressure i am under i do find myself working at home in the evenings and weekend. I do try to limit it as much as possible, as its only a job and i would hate for it affect my relationships and social life.
