Some of the songs these days are very cleverly written. I like Kylie's songs and Robbie Williams has some great songs too. I like some of the current bands - Snow Patrol, Arctic Monkeys are just two that spring to mind. I have listened to popular music all my life and it has often kept me going, lifted my spirits when times have been hard. I find that it is easy to listen to and if you are able you can have a good old boogie also. Kylie Minogues songs are always brilliant and I have a lot of her albums. Celine dion is also excellent. I hate rock music or Indie music as all the instruments and words just tend to all mix together and it just sounds like one big noise.
