I have just seen the first episode of the new Terminator TV series and I have to say that over all I am impressed. The series takes place after the events of Terminator 2 and ignores Terminator 3 totally, this is a whole new timeline!! Lena Headey is a good replacement for Linda Hamilton showing a strong sense of caring for her son John Connor. John is a little bit of a disappointment however as Thomas Dekker seems to play him as a little bit too whinny to be the future leader of the resistance, his predecessor Edward Furlong seemed stronger. John is protected by a sexy new Terminator from the future played by the trouser swelling Summer Glau :) I predict good things for the future of this show, hopefully they will give it a second season to really prove itself. The plot sees the war of the future delayed by 13 years because of the events of Terminator 2. Sarah & John are still on the run in 1999, 2 years after destroying the Cyberdyne building at T2's climax. Eventually the Terminators catch up with them again and after a few skirmishes with it Sarah, John and the female Terminator are trapped in a bank vault. Thankfully there is a Time Displacement device hidden within (there is a good reason for this as explained in the episode) and they use it to escape to 2007 where they hope to destroy Skynet once and for all before the war can start. The show is created by much of the production team behind the Terminator movies so manages to capture the feel of the films perfectly.
Very Very good i've watched the whole season (9 episodes) already has great potential looking forword to season 2 Love the fanboy references to other things hidden in the show
sorry but not seen it, but i did love the original terminator, they were very good, i shall watch when i get the chance. --- i also wanted to say thank you for your comments on my stuff, even when we disagree, and we have locked horns a bit, but thats good and healthy, i think, i have lovely memories of me and my lovely dad doing the same, we both held strong opinions, and would listen to the others, but then have our say, good healthy opinions, i do so miss him, but lovely to re-kindle the challenge sometimes -THANKS- opps sorry i think you were the one who told me off once for using CAPITALS, but see i have followed your advise, --- lol
diabolical crap. Ive never seen such overhyped drivel.Sarah Connor spents the entire time having hysterics, hitting poeple for no reason and yakking on and on and on about her thoughts.Someone kill her already.
I've not seen it, but I'm not really that intrigued. And I love the films as well, it's just that my experience of series adapted from films isn't that great.
